The service

Casescout provides AI-assisted legal research tools for Canadian case law and statutes. The service is a research aid and is provided on an “as is” basis.

Not legal advice

Casescout does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a qualified lawyer. You are responsible for independently verifying all results before relying on them.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Do not use the service to violate any law or third-party rights.
  • Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the service without permission.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Intellectual property

The service, including its software and content, is owned by Casescout and protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casescout is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
